Cal. 38 S&W. S# V515353. Bbl. 5" pinned. Variation of US Victory model that was originally for US military use in 38 Spl. cal. Mfg. for British use chambered for their 38-200 cartridge which was 38 S&W w/ 200 gr. bullet. Also called Model K-200. Mfg. w/in US Victory S# range for Lend Lease program. Frame has US "P" proof. Top strap has flaming bomb followed by "U. S. PROPERTY G.H.D."; GHD is US inspector. Matching numbered cyl. & extractor; unnumbered bbl. Sand blast black magic finish. Lanyard swivel in butt. Early 5 Screw frame having standard case colored trigger & hammer. Originally w/ smooth oiled grips; presently w/ late production unnumbered checkered walnut Magna grips. Top of backstrap stamped "K90"; likely service inventory#. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: "G.&K. /1917 / A.G." marked US flap holster w/ "I.A.4. / 182" stamped into flap portion w/ lg. characters. Standard US in oval on front. Intended for different revolver, so added hole in strap to secure over brass stud. Capped bottom of holster w/ brass stud & lanyard ring. Good general appearance w/ typical scuffs & verdigris around brass. CONDITION: good general appearance w/ typical high point wear & occasional peppery oxidation showing mostly on trigger & backstrap. Good left grip, fair right w/ numerous marks in checkering area. Near excellent bore. (20-1849/NW). CURIO. $300-450.
