Cal. 38 S&W. S# 741350. Bbl. 6" w/ half moon front blade & frame notched rear sights. Mfg. early 1940"s for England yet has broad arrow in C Canadian proof. Cal. used heavier than normal (146 Gr.) bullet of 200 Gr. as British specified. Blued finish w/ standard case colored trigger & hammer. Matching numbered bbl., cyl., extractor & diamond center checkered walnut service grips w/ silver medallions. Standard early features of 5 screw frame, pinned bbl. & lanyard loop in butt (missing). CONDITION: good plus overall appearance retaining good original finish w/ typical high point wear, beginning cyl. turn line, occasional spots of peppery oxidation & sm. pitted spot at left by muzzle. Fair worn grips w/ no damage & best appearing left. Near excellent bore. (20-637/NW). CURIO. $300-400.
