Cal. 50 BMG. S# 1844. Bbl. 33" over muzzle break. The Serbu BFG-50 is a bolt action single shot 50 BMG rifle & early predecessor to the wildly popular semi-automatic BFG 50A. With a weight of just under 19 lbs. & a match grade alloy steel bbl. terminated w/ their extremely effective shark brake it is a platform both accurate & manageable recoil wise. Manganese phosphate finished in a dark gray on all exposed metal surfaces. Integral scope mt. providing 5" of picatinny rail for optic mounting on top of receiver. Perforated bbl. shroud, effective rubber recoil pad. Fire control group is reminiscent of AR-15/M-16 for instant familiarity. Folding bipod at end of bbl. shroud for additional stability. Leupold Mark IV 4.5-14 x 50 scope w/ target turrets & adj. objective w/ flip up covers. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Contico foam lined plastic transport case. CONDITION: parkerized finish on all exposed metal parts is consistent & complete. Normal finish wear on areas of mechanical intervention are not present illustrating very light use if any at all. Bore is shiny w/ very well pronounced rifling & fire control mechanism appears to function correctly when cycled by hand. (21-776/JZ). MODERN. $1,500-2,500.
