SCARCE WW2 IRWIN PEDERSEN M1 CARBINE
SERIAL NUMBER: 1774088. BARREL: 18". CALIBER: .30 CARBINE. MANUFACTURED: 1943. One of the few Irwin Pedersen completed guns, with some parts being supplied by Saginaw for completion. Barrel is Underwood production and is dated "2-43", over a flaming bomb. Slide is marked "S'G' " on the inside of the slide well. Trigger group, hammer, safety (push button), bolt (flat style) and rear sight (two position flip) are all Irwin Pederson production. Hand guard is Irwin Pederson marked, "IR-IP" on the inside channel. Stock is Saginaw production, and has a boxed "S'G' " cartouche on the left side, all under a crossed cannons cartouche. Circled "P" firing proof on the wrist. Rack number, "1064" written horizontally on the fore arm. Original parkerized finish and oiled wood stock. Includes attached tanf canvas sling (undated) and metal oiler. No magazine. CONDITION: Metal is excellent overall, with light wear. Wood has handling marks, scrapes and scratches. Bore is shiny with crisp rifling. Mechanically fine. Sling has light wear and discoloration. C&R
