Cal. 357 Mag. S# 356654. Bbl. 5 1/2" w/ single line Hartford address. Blue & case colored finish. Left side of trigger guard & backstrap are numbered "356654" matching number on bottom of frame. Rear face of 6 shot fluted cyl. is marked w/ "54", last 2 digits of S#. Left side at front of trigger guard bow is marked "4" over "VP" triangle marking. Unmarked 2 piece checkered hard rubber Rampant Colt grips. Mfg. 1939. CONDITION: frame retains over 90% lightly faded case colors w/ wear & sm. spots of freckling on left bolster. Loading gate has fading case colors w/ sm. area of very light corrosion. Sides of hammer show spots of darkened appearance. Bbl. retains 90% blue showing light wear & silvering at muzzle. Cyl., grip straps & ejector housing retain over 70% blue showing spots of fading, edge wear & sm. handling marks. Front sight shows evidence of slight lowering. Grips show very light wear, right panel is chipped & glued at toe. Bore is bright w/ sound rifling. (20-24/DS). CURIO. $7,000-10,000.
