The most difficult date to find in Confederate Richmond musket (or rifle production) is the last date 1864. This is a fine example w/ great markings “C.S. / RICHMOND” & “1864” at tail. CONDITION: fine overall, still shows traces of case colors & overall gray patina. 3 Interior screws added are also fine. PROVENANCE: Estate Collection of Dan Poppen. (02-13450/JS). $600-800.
