Main Description: This rifle was purchased during WWI by Canada for the Montreal Home Guard, approx. 800 to 1000 were likely shipped. Left side of receiver is engraved with Charles Meredith Montreal 1914, right side has Alexander Angus 1936, Butt plate has the initials ADA with Rack number 211 on the tang. Blade front sight with sheet metal cover, adjustable u notched ladder rear sight, polish blued finish, cocking indicator, rear tang drilled and tapped with plug screws installed. Three piece full military wood stocks, finger grooved forearm, straight grip, small crack behind upper tang, smooth curved steel butt plate with some light rust, sling swivels, colour case hardened lever, bayonet lug. Includes original brown leather sling which is dry, cracked with one end broken off.

Wear: Metal finish shows a few light rust speckles, scratches, handling marks and wear. Stocks show some marks, scratches and wear.
