ISLAND ARMORY. Cal. 30. S# 3624533. Bbl. 18". A classic M2 over stamp conversion by Rock Island Armory. Parkerized finish on exposed metal surfaces. Dark hardwood stock, including handguard. Metal buttplate. “AI” stamped on hand guard retaining ring portion of bayonet lug assembly. Front sight protected blade & rear sight elevation & windage adj. peep stamped “I. R. CO.” on right side. Bbl. markings include: Winchester’s hallmark proof mark oval approx. 5.5" from muzzle on top. Gas cyl. includes: “RIA” w/ Ordnance bomb on right side approx. 3.5” from chamber. Receiver markings, chamber area on top “U.S. CARBINE / CAL. 30 M2” (M2 is stamped over original M1). Rear receiver markings include “SAGINAW SG / 3624533”. Recoil plate marked “SG”. MAGS: 1-20 rd. CONDITION: parkerizing on exposed metal surfaces is complete. Minimal thinning at areas of mechanical intervention. Stock exhibits few light impressions but overall shows signs of very little use & proper storage/handling. Fire control mechanism appears to function correctly when cycled by hand.
