Cal. 45 ACP. S# 52827. Bbl. 5 1/2". Mfg. 1917-1946 w/ butt marked "U.S. ARMY MODEL 1917 NO. 52827". Matching numbers on bbl., cyl. & extractor plus penciled on right grip. Bottom of bbl. has ""UNITED STATES PROPERTY"". Top left of frame has flaming bomb proof. Case colored standard trigger & hammer. Smooth walnut grips & lanyard loop on butt. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: good to very good brown leather flap holster for rev. Left handed w/ "US" in oval on front. Raw hide lacing attached to brass loop at bottom of holster w/ lacing tied into hangman"s noose configuration. Back marked "G. & K." over "1917" over "A.G.". Shorter rev. holster designated by capped bottom having brass ring. Additionally has rawhide lace through 2 grommets near bottom of belt loop. CONDITION: very good to excellent overall appearance w/ faint cyl. turn line plus areas of very faint beginning high point wear such as top of front sight, muzzle & front edge of frame by yoke pivot. Minimal marks on left grip especially nice appearing right grip w/ both having occasional sm. marks on butt. Very good case colors & near excellent bore. Great example of U.S. military rev. (20-479/NW). CURIO. $1,000-1,500.
