Cal. 7.62x39. S# 1-6649-97. Bbl. 16". A Romanian AK variant mfg. for the US civilian market in 1997. Bbl. is terminated w/ a threaded muzzle & spot welded thread protector. Earless bayonet lug still hosts onboard cleaning rod. Protected post front sight & tangent style rear sight elevated to 1,000 meters w/ Romanian battle sight CQB setting "P". Beautiful yellow tinted laminated furniture w/ a shoulder stock in an inlet thumbhole configuration to meet import criteria at the time. Several matching parts including trunnion, top cover, bolt carrier & right side safety selector lever. Left side scope mount on reinforced stamped receiver. MAGS: 1 metal 30 rd. CONDITION: finish coverage on exposed metal surfaces is consistent & complete w/ light thinning of areas of mechanical intervention. Wood forend exhibits cracking usually associated w/ dryness, though damage appears to be cosmetic at this point. Bore is shiny w/ very strong rifling & fire control mechanism appears to function correctly when cycled by hand. (21-1546/JZ). MODERN. $500-800.
