SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 Ga., 2 3/4". S# 489160. Bbl. 20". Later production gun w/ oil finished stocks & brushed blue "military finish". Receiver marked on left side "Remington U.S." w/ flaming bomb & "MILITARY FINISH". Bolt marked "MODEL 11". Bbl. markings include "REMINGTON ARMS CO", patent dates & "12 GA. FOR 2 3/4 OR SHORTER SHELLS CYL.". Steel bead front sight. Plain walnut stock set. Buttstock is marked below cheek area w/ crossed cannons & "FJA". Brown plastic Remington buttplate. Pistol grip has added circular "CD" decal & "9". Forend has grasping grooves. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 26" bbl. including Lyman Cutts Compensator w/ spreader tube & steel bead front sight. Bbl. marked "Remington Arms 12 GA FOR 2 3/4" SHELLS, U.S." & flaming bomb. CONDITION: stock set has very nice original finish w/ crisp markings & light handling marks. Forend has 1" crack at bottom rear. Buttstock had QD swivel stud no longer present w/ missing chip in edge of hole. Metal has 80% blued finish w/ light wear & scattered scratches. Mag. cap has been fitted w/ swivel stud. Very good shiny bore w/ sm. streaks of fouling. (20-1196/RW). CURIO. $600-900.
