Cal. 50 CF. S# 1710 (under grip). Bbl. 8" rnd. w/ semi circular front sight. Case hardened action, left side of frame has 2 line Remington address & patent markings as well as letters "P" & "S". Walnut forearm & 1 piece grip. Left side of grip has clear "CRS" cartouche. Left side of rear grip strap & front grip strap channel of grip bears S# 1710, left side of both grip straps marked w/ assembly number "1848". Approx. 6,000 produced 1872-1888. CONDITION: fine overall. Action retains 80% lightly faded case colors. Bbl. retains 80% lightly faded blue showing spots of light pitting near muzzle. Grips show light wear & sm. handling marks. Bore is generally bright w/ strong rifling. (01-16924/DS). ANTIQUE. $1,500-2,250.
