RARE CASED C.R. ALSOP  NAVY  REVOLVER
SERIAL NUMBER 436 BARREL 5 1/2" CALIBER .36 BLACK POWDER MANUFACTURED 1862-1863. With an extremely low production estimated at less than 500. Octagon barrel with fluted cylinder. Tall spur hammer located in center of top strap. 5 shot , brass blade front sight with spur trigger and 2 piece highly figured burl walnut grips with brass escutcheons. Revolver is cased in partitioned Hartford pattern case with floral embossed powder flask , cap tin with caps and partial label, bow legged brass dual cavity mold marked "KMH 4" and key. CONDITION. Fine with exterior having toned to a mixed blue / plum patina. Bore is very fine with sharp rifling. Action operates properly. Some small amounts of light pitting on top barrel flat obscuring barrel address and a small area of pitting on one side of cylinder. Grips are excellent. Action operates properly. Case is excellent with solid partitions and good green velvet lining. Mold is very fine. Cap tin is excellent and flask is very good and functions properly. ANTIQUE
