SERIAL NUMBER N/A BARREL 8 1/2" CALIBER 56 SMOOTHBORE MANUFACTURED 1830-37. Marked with the Rare Royal crown cipher WR on lock and barrel for the short reign of King William IV (1830-37) Walnut stock with brass butt cap & trigger guard with flat India pattern lock with WR cipher and tapered round barrel with Crown proofs. Brass forend cap and single rod pipe of brass. Pistol is a Field refit with the updated lock and barrel. Hickory wiping rod with brass tip. CONDITION, Very fine with barrel and lock having an untouched brown patina. Very good bore and properly functioning lock. Stock is very good with some light period bruises. A quite scarce variation of the British flint martial pistol. ANTIQUE
