This was a custom made piece gifted to Phil Tippett for Christmas 1992.
Original Dinosaur monster wall display custom made by master sculptor and 3D modeler Pete Konig.
This lot is part of the Phil Tippett Collection and will come with a co-signed COA by Phil Tippett.
Phil Tippett is the founder and namesake of Tippett Studio. His varied career in visual effects has spanned more than 30 years and includes two Academy Awards; and six nominations, one BAFTA award and four nominations, two Emmys and the advent of modern digital effects in motion pictures.
He is the inventor of the Stop-Motion technique called Go-Motion and even has a dinosaur species named after him: Elaphrosaurus philtippettorum.
Pete Konig is a seasoned concept designer, sculptor, and 3D modeler Peter Konig. With nearly four decades of experience, he transitioned from practical special effects into digital character and creature modeling.
Starting his career in the 1980s before computer graphics, König sculpted and fabricated items using clay and practical effects Peter Konig. In the early 90s, he joined Tippett Studio and learned 3D modeling and animation.
König has contributed concept designs, creature effects, and 3D models to over 30 feature films and major video gamess.
