Original hand painted cover art for Cinefex magazine issue #121 published in April 2010 to celebrate Tippett's career.

The piece incorporates various iconic creatures and vehicles from films Tippett worked on, including Star Wars (AT-AT walker) and Jurassic Park (T-Rex).
This piece was also reproduced in the CGW (China) magazine.
Mark Raats is an acclaimed South African-born Australian illustrator and retired 2D/3D animator best known for creating official cinematic poster art for the Star Wars and Indiana Jones franchises. Over a career spanning more than 30 years, his signature traditional painting style has earned him high-profile commissions from Disney and Lucasfilm, with George Lucas himself purchasing several of Raats' original paintings for his personal art collection.
This lot is part of the Phil Tippett Collection and will come with a co-signed COA by Phil Tippett.
Phil Tippett is the founder and namesake of Tippett Studio. His varied career in visual effects has spanned more than 30 years and includes two Academy Awards; and six nominations, one BAFTA award and four nominations, two Emmys and the advent of modern digital effects in motion pictures.
He is the inventor of the Stop-Motion technique called Go-Motion and even has a dinosaur species named after him: Elaphrosaurus philtippettorum.
