CARBINE. Cal. 50. S# 1292. Bbl. 21 1/2" oct. to rnd. German silver blade front sight w/ folding leaf carbine rear sight. Action is operated w/ release lever in front of trigger guard & tips down for loading. Case colored action w/ hammer mounted on right side having saddle ring & bar on left side. Left side of bbl. & right side of stock have "B" US inspection mark. Left ear of stock has "G.P" inspection mark. Band fastened walnut forearm & straight grip stock w/ steel carbine buttplate. Estimated quantity 30,000 mfg. 1861-1865. CONDITION: very fine. 90% Dull lightly faded blue showing spots of freckling & muzzle wear. Action retains 90% dark lightly faded case colors showing spots of freckling. Wood finish finish shows scattered scratches & marks. Bore is bright w/ strong rifling showing a few sm. spots of very light pitting. (01-17066/DS). ANTIQUE. $1,500-2,250.
