SERIAL NUMBER N/A BARREL 8 5/8" CALIBER .56 SMOOTHBORE MANUFACTURED CIRCA 1810-1830. Made for the Continental market. Wonderfully silver mounted with swamped octagon barrels. Silver bowed trigger guard with 4 small hall marks at rear and tear shaped silver butt cap with 4 hall marks. One piece checkered stock with 2 silver rod pipes and hickory loading rod with horn tip. Both pistols are identical in design and pattern. Both are cased with their English pattern French fitted case with wiping rod, wad cutter and mechanical mold with sprue cutter. CONDITION, Both pistols are very fine with the silver having a light tarnish The stocks are very fine and solid with a few minor period of use impressions and dents. The locks are crisply marked "KETLAND" in script and retain most all of their respective plating. The Octagon barrels are very fine with English proofs and "LONDON" in script on the top barrel flat and barrels retain most all of their plating. The case is good with some distress on the top lid from warpage and lock mechanism has been forced open. Lining is very fine. Accessories are very good. ANTIQUE
