(1960s) A true Polynesian Pop artifact! This fiberglass Hawaiian Tiki carving acted as a ship's prow on one of two pontoons of one of the Captain Beans Kona Hawaii Dinner Cruise Excursion boats. This is for one of the earlier craft in the line and once decommissioned, became a store front greeter Tiki on the island. The design is handsome with a nice faux wood finish creating an impressive post-modern take on the traditional Hawaiian Tiki idol. Hollow and made for mounting on the ship's prow, items such as this are exceedingly rare. Large and displays will with an added iron base. Can be remounted on a custom display if so chosen. 69"x12". VG+ with typical wear and chipping at the base shaft.
