Cal. 2”. NSN. Circa 1810. 33" Overall w/ 18 3/4" swamped bbl. flaring to about 2" at muzzle. Most of exposed surface of bbl. is engraved w/ silver insets including 4" panel near breech w/ Arabic text. Stock is covered w/ silver repoussé over all of butt stock forward, sideplate & bbl. band. Repoussé designs are arabesques & Islamic symbols. Brass triggerguard, iron ramrod & thimble. CONDITION: very good overall. Iron is an overall gray patina w/ discernible engraved designed & text. Repoussé wrap is sound & intact w/ dull silver/gray patina. Stock is sound w/ hand worn patina & some erosion forward of lock. Mechanics are fine w/ smooth pitted bore. (01-17283/JS). ANTIQUE $2,000-3,000.
