Cal. approx. 50. NSN. Bbl. 55" rnd. w/ flutes extending 9" from the breech. Bbl. is heavily gold inlaid in the Ottoman Baroque style at the muzzle, breech & in front of the flutes. Peep sight. Engraved Miquelet style lock w/ engraved silver facings. Low grade silver bbl. bands & rudimentary sideplate. Stock is decorated & inlaid w/ "certifiable antique ivory", brass studs & carved horn in the Ottoman style. Classic hexagonal butt. Iron ramrod. CONDITION: bbl. has a dark patina w/ scattered evidence of cleaned pitting. Gold inlays are worn but 97% plus intact. Miquelet lock seems to function but needs adjustment. Inlays are 98% intact w/ some minor losses. There are a few age cracks to the stock emanating from the butt. Stock appears to have an early splice midway down the bbl. but patina matches. Bore is fair. (01-17190/BF). ANTIQUE. $800-1,300.
