Cal. 7.62x39. S# 9211283. Bbl. 21". The NHM91 was a very early offering into the transitional period beginning in the late 1980s where imported firearms had to be suitable as “sporting” & not fall under a new criteria & considered assault weapon. Of course, by 1994 the same criteria effected domestic mfg. as well as imported offerings & eventually sunset 10 years later. Unfortunately, the country of origin & political current events still influences importability. The NHM91 was the new model previously known as the RPK w/ its physical characteristics altered just a little. Hardwood forend & thumbhole pistol grip shoulder stock. Factory bluing on all exposed metal surfaces. Bbl. terminated w/ M14x1 LH threads & proper slant muzzle brake. Protected post front sight & rear tangent sight marked to 800m w/ a radius of almost 20". No bayonet lug. Bipod is present but hasn’t been assembled on rifle. Factory built by Norinco in China, imported through CSI in California. Right side controls. MAGS: 2 TOTAL; 1-5 rd. mag., 1-75 rd. Chinese triangle 36 rear loading drum. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: factory cardboard box, owner’s manual for drum & rifle, factory bipod, cleaning rod, black nylon sling, oil bottle. CONDITION: wood is free of any major impression or blemishing. Exposed metal surface finish is consistent & complete. Receiver area between or below safety is only marred w/ a thin line, illustrating light use. A few light scratches typically associated w/ vertical storage. Bore is shiny w/ strong rifling. Fire control mechanism appears to function correctly when cycled by hand. (21-732/JZ). MODERN. $500-800.
