“CHESTERFIELD”. Cal. about 72. NSN. Originally flintlock, this arm has been converted to percussion. 44” rnd. bbl., has sm. blade front sight. Nice carved scroll molding on butt stock & relief carved clam shell rear of bbl. tang. CONDITION: very good overall, iron has smooth dark brown patina, clear “CHESTERFIELD” on top of bbl. & “P” over “V” proofs on left breech. Stock sound & well fit w/ hand worn patina. Mechanically functional w/ smooth clear bore. (01-17377/JS). ANTIQUE. $800-1,200.
