Alamgir II (1754-1759 AD) - silver rupee, 'Fazl-i Ilahi' couplet, Koilkunda mint, not listed in KM, 11.21g.

Test punch, Very fine, Very rare.

The 'Fazl-i Ilahi' couplet is known only for Koilkunda, a very rare mint that struck coins in the name of Ahmad Shah and Alamgir II, during the decade of uncertainty following the death of Asaf Jah I in 1749. Koilkonda is a mandala in Mahboobnagar district of Telangana and is the site of a strategic fort.
