The city of Machilipatnam, also known as Bandar or Machhlipatnam / Masulipatnam, is a major port in the Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh. The city is nestled on the Coromandel Coast of India. There is a rich historical background to this city in Indian history, and it was dominated by the Dutch, French, and British over a period of time.
