Men in Black (1997) - Alien Van & Cactus Miniatures.
Measuring 22" x 16".
Used in the beginning of the film where the camera follows a dragonfly and flies into the windscreen of the van. Pulled by cable along the miniature road. Mounted to a custom made base replicating the road from the set.
Made by Academy Award winning New Deal Studios.
Original custom built alien van and cactus miniatures used in the production of the Barry Sonnenfeld directed science fiction action comedy movie 'Men in Black' (1997), where a police officer joins a secret organization that polices and monitors extraterrestrial interactions on Earth.
The film stars Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith as two agents of a secret organization called the Men in Black, who supervise extraterrestrial lifeforms who live on Earth and hide their existence from ordinary humans. The film featured the creature effects and makeup of Rick Baker and visual effects by Industrial Light Magic.
