Persis, rulers under Parthian sovereignty - silver obol of Ardaxšīr II (Artaxerxes, c. 1st century BC), issued from Istakhr mint, van't Haaff 578d, 0.70g. Obv: Bust of bearded king left, wearing mural crown with battlements, monogram behind. Rev: King standing facing right (on left side of altar), holding sceptre before lighted altar; Aramaic legend around.
