Medieval Central India - gold coinage inspired by the 'Gangeya Deva' coins of Tripuri, 4½ Masha coin of Rajanarayana of an unknown dynasty, (c. 11-12th century AD), Deyel 'Lakshmi' 1.3, 4.12g. Obv: Lakshmi seated cross-legged, facing. Rev: Nagari legend in three lines Sri Raja/Naraya /na Deva visible in parts.

About Extremely fine, Extremely rare.

A very rare variety of an offshoot of the 'Gangeya Deva' coinage. Rajanarayana Deva was most likely a feudatory of the Kalachuris of Tripuri.
