Kakatiyas of Warangal, gold punch-marked gadyana, repousse fabric (c.1100-1200 AD), 3.78g. Obv: nine punches struck deeply on a very thin flan - a boar facing right with sun and moon above in the centre, 2x Kannada letter 'Shri', 4x lion facing left, 1x Kannada legend Ahi /(ta Gaja) and 1x Kannada legend Kesari. Width 31.85mm; Height 31.72mm.

Extremely fine, Very rare.

Tentatively attributed to Prola I (c.1052-1076), based on the title 'Ahita-Gaja-Kesari' ('The Lion-Elephant to Enemies').
