Early Medieval Gujarat - base silver drachm imitating Gupta coin design, possibly issued by the Gurjaras of Bharuch or the kings of Valkha, (c.600-700 AD), PAIC 3762 (listed but not attributed conclusively), 1.14g. Obv: Bust with moustache in profile with a conch shell to right. Rev: Stylized Nandi, seated facing left; medieval Brahmi legend around, not yet fully deciphered.

Very fine, Extremely rare.

The coins of this rare type are enigmatic and require further research. The legend has been unsatisfactorily read as 'Shri Juravajrana' or 'Shri Janamungara'.
