Chandellas of Jejakabhukti - copper coin of Prithvi Varman (c.1120-1128 AD), 'horseman' type, unpublished in major sources, 1.16g. Obv: Horseman charging to right. Rev: Nagari legend Shri mat-Pri/thvi Varmma… partly visible.

Good Very fine, Rare.

Prithvi Varman's usual type for copper bears the figure of Hanuman. A horseman is an unusual depiction for Chandella coins and it is likely that this type was struck by one of Chandella feudatories.
