Chalukyas of Kalyani, gold ½ fanam of punch-marked type, (1000-1100 AD), 0.19g. Obv: Two punches, stylized lion facing left and Kannada legend Malli. Rev: Blank.

Extremely fine, Very rare

Stylistically, this coin is linked to the 'U'-shaped fanams which usually bear three punches. It is in a typological sense only one arm of the 'U’ with a punch at the top and bottom.
