serial #00085350, 45-70, 18'' ''JM'' marked, ported barrel with a bright, excellent bore. The metal surfaces retain about 99% original blue with some light handling marks throughout. The bolt remains mostly bright with some areas of light gray patina. The checkered walnut forearm and straight grip buttstock rate excellent with a few light handling marks and is fitted with a factory vented recoil pad, the original swivel studs and Marlin bullseye remaining intact. The original sights have been removed, the screw holes and dovetail have been filled with filler screws and a slot blank. A Weaver one-piece scope base is mounted to the top of the receiver.
