Non-milled left receiver rail tapped to accommodate long rail Snipe mt. through standard receiver rail markings. An attractive 98K rifle designed to replicate World War II long rail sniper rifle. Rifle has very nice original finish on wood & metal w/ all matching numbers & crisp markings. Rifle features tangent rear sight graduated to 2,000m. Inverted V front sight w/ protective hood. Receiver ring marked on top "eagle 135 / byf / 42", marked on left side w/ eagle proof. Cleaning rod & bayonet bar are present. All milled furniture including solid upper band. Laminated hardwood stock set w/ cup type buttplate & steel takedown hole. Buttstock marked w/ eagle "WaA135" at belly, under grip & on right side of butt. Sling slot marked on inside "RR", "3" & 2 script "p". Long rail scope base attached to receiver by 3 screws w/ locking screws & 2 tapered steel pins. Mt. has sheet metal bands & windage adj. using special key. 6x Scope is marked "CARL ZEISS / JENA ZIELSECHS / No 77033". Scope has 3 post German reticle. Scope mt. has serial number "2256v" & eagle "359". UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: brown leather scope caps. CONDITION: stock set has very light wear & scattered handling marks. Metal retains 95% original blue w/ light high point wear & scattered very sm. scratches. Near excellent shiny bore. (20-898/RW). CURIO. $4,000-6,000.
