Cal. 8mm Mauser. S# B65359. Bbl. 23 1/2". Tangent rear sight graduated to 2,000m. Inverted V front sight. Crown "B" "U" "G" "N" proofed receiver. "WaA63" marked buttplate, stock recoil lug, middle bbl. band & takedown disk. "Standard Modell" marked left receiver wall. Scope rings are numbered to match the gun. All visible numbers match. Has bayonet bar, cleaning rod & parade hook is present on upper band. The rifle may possibly be a commercial Mauser described in "The German Sniper 1914-1945" by Senich as being used for military service. Has correct WWII German K98 sling. Zeiss scope marked "CARL ZEISS JENA" w/ German 3 post reticle. Has tunnel claw mt. w/ matching etched S#, windage adj. in rear mt. Scope bases attached to rifle w/ solder. CONDITION: bbl. & receiver retain 95% finish. Bolt has been reblued & retains 98% finish. Stock has been lightly sanded & refinished. Stock retains traces of "Eagle/H" marking. Middle bbl. band has been cleaned with traces of bluing. Scope has been lightly refinished, optics are very cloudy, but serviceable. Very good bore with sharp rifling. (20-899/RW).
