Cal. 31. NSN. Bbl. 6" rnd. w/ attached loading rod. German silver front sight. 6 Shot rnd. cyl. Lock, hammer & frame have an open scroll design ornamentation. Brass trigger guard & backstrap. 1 Piece walnut grip. Known as the "John Brown" model, total of about 1,000 mfg. 1851-1857. CONDITION: over 90% reblued metal finish showing handling marks & spots of remaining light pitting. Grip is sanded showing heavy wear showing large chip above lock. Hammer will not hold in full cock position. Bore is dark & pitted retaining largely intact rifling. (01-17105/DS). ANTIQUE. $600-900.
