PERCUSSION CARBINE. Cal. 50. S# 17669. Bbl. 20" rnd. w/ oct. shank. Semi circular front sight w/ 2 leaf folding rear sight. Single shot action, lever operated bbl. tips down for loading. Case colored action w/ center mounted blued hammer & trigger. Left side has saddle ring & bar. Bbl. & saddle ring bar have "S" US inspection marks. Straight grip walnut stock w/ steel buttplate. Left side of stock has sharp cartouches. Total of 20,202 mfg. 1863-1865. CONDITION: near excellent. 98% Lightly faded bbl. blue showing spots of freckling. Action retains 80% case colors w/ spots of freckling. Stock has very good finish w/ crisp cartouches. Bore is clean & bright w/ near excellent rifling. (01-17068/DS). ANTIQUE. $1,750-2,500.
