Front compartment has sliding shelf w/ clamps to hold 5 handguns. Compartment contains a 4 1/2" x 1 7/8" brass plated marked "US / PARK POLICE / 1957 / U.S. ARMY GREY / 2ND PLACE / 1137-35X / .22 CAL. / LT COL W.A. HANCOCK / M/ SGT R.RATLIFF / M/ SGT R.A.STINEMAN / SFC J.R.EVERSOLE". Compartment also contains target stapler & cleaning clothes. Stapled to inside of lid is a sight adj. card marked "U.S.A. A.M.U. FT. BENNING. GA.". Rear compartment of case hold an eclectic assortment of shooters supplies & misc. accessories. Also includes blue plasticized cloth case cover. CONDITION: case is in generally good condition showing light wear. Case color is in poor condition w/ reinforced edges, tears & grime. PROVENANCE: From the collection of Lt. Col. William S. Brophy.
