Main Description: Bolt matches, This rifle converted from an Enfield 1898 Long Lee to a MKI* CLLE in 1909 by VSM (Vickers & Sons Maxim). Blade front sight with ramp and clamp on ears, adjustable u notched ladder rear sight, blued finish, Knox form has the letter E, receiver has double broad arrows indicating sold from stores, magazine cutoff, safety on cocking piece, retains volley sights. Three piece smooth full military wood stocks, pistol grip, smooth brass butt plate with trap, tang marked 26/224 (possibly Middlesex Battalion of light infantry), right side of stock has Enfield roundel. Two sling and one stacking swivel, bayonet lug.
Wear: Metal finish shows a few light rust speckles, scratches, handling marks and wear. Stocks show some marks, scratches and wear.
