Bbl., top tang, lock, hammer & iron trigger guard have foliate & patriotic themed hand engraving. Plain trigger. Key fastened walnut stock w/ flared butt. Features include checkered wrist & forearm w/ relief carved borders & extensive vine type foliate wire inlay. Brass fittings include ornate oct. butt cap, engraved sideplate escutcheons & engraved key escutcheons. CONDITION: iron parts have faded to gray showing areas of pitting & surface rust. Stock has dark worn appearance showing handling marks w/ sm. chips behind lock. Rear left key escutcheon is loose & front right key escutcheon is missing. Dark pitted bore. (01-17704/DS).
