This lg. cast iron & wood folding, transportable recruiting scale measures approx. 28" x 15" x 9 1/2" when closed. The exterior is painted black. The interior houses a base & mechanism for weighing recruits for the military. The interior wood is painted a dull yellow & the metal is painted black. The platform that the recruit would stand on is embossed, “FARIBANKS RECRUITING OFFICE SCALE.”. CONDITION: scale appears to be complete & in functioning order. It shows light wear overall.
