Cal. 8mm Mauser. S# C4130. Bbl. 23 3/4". Receiver ring marked on top "FABRIQUE D"ARMAS", Spanish crest & "LA CORUNA". Turned down bolt handle. Tangent rear sight graduated to 2,000 meters. Inverted V front sight. Cleaning rod present. Adapter on bayonet bar for earlier bayonet. All milled furniture. Fitted w/ side & bottom swivels. Walnut stock set w/ flat buttplate. Marked on right side w/ crossed fasces & sword; indicating use by Spanish Civil Guard. CONDITION: stock set shows arsenal reworked finish w/ loss of wood in inletted areas. Stock shows light wear, staining & scattered dents & scratches. Sm. crack at rear of trigger guard & 2 sm. cracks behind receiver tang. Handguard has crack across rear left corner & sm. amount of wood removed from sighting groove in front of receiver. Metal retains 75% arsenal reworked blue w/ thinning, light wear & scattered sm. spots of oxidation. Good lightly worn bore. (20-1306/RW). CURIO. $300-450.
