He spends most of his time in the New York area, Washington, D.C. and Paris painting directly from nature. Kubik has been the official artist for several U.S. golf and tennis tournaments. His work has appeared on the covers of M.D. Magazine, Reader's Digest and Avenue Magazine. He did a book, "Cityscapes", for the Grumbacher Company translating his artistic perception into city scenes that radiate life. Kubik's pastel of Carnegie Hall was used as the first American poster in China and was presented by Isaac Stern to the foreign minister of the People's Republic of China. He was commissioned to do the paintings for the Breaker Hotel, Ritz Carlton Hotel Company and the Greenbrier Country Club. A number of his paintings are in the personal collection of George and Barbara Bush as well as President Bush.
