Cal. 44. S# 10768. Bbl. 5 1/2”. The London Armory Company produced about 11,000 lg. 54 bore revolvers from 1859-1866, the largest part of this production went to the Confederacy, this example however is among the very last made & there are no identified Confederate examples w/ serial numbers this high. CONDITION: matching serial numbers found on frame & cyl., “LONDON ARMORY CO.” engraved on lock & “KERR’S PATENT” on frame, both legible, gun overall has brown/gray color w/ pitting, gun appears original & complete w/ exception of restored cyl. pin & cyl. pin latch, mechanically revolver functions in single action, but trigger does not cock in dbl. action, good discernable rifled bore w/ pitting.
