American Western artist that was a founding member in the Cowboy Artists of America, which started in 1965. He was a true pioneer in Western art, lived from1931 to 2006, making this painting one of his earliest pieces as is signed and dated 1951 in the lower left. This oil on canvas, signed and titled on back "When a Good Horse Counts", is an action packed scene of cowboys escaping an Indian attack. It is in an original frame, a pleasing size with image measuring 18 1/2" x 23 1/2". Showing great untouched age and condition.
