(Disneyland, c.1965) An original concept painting created by Disney Legend Mary Blair for It's a Small World at Disneyland. This painting depicts Blair's stylized concept for the attraction's iconic facade. After the attraction's incredible success at the 1964-65 New York World's Fair, Walt wanted to bring the attraction to Disneyland as a permanent installation. The attraction needed a new facade for its installation at the Park, and Walt called on Blair, who also contributed heavily to the original World's Fair iteration, to design it. The painting is accomplished in acrylic on artist's board and measures 14"x17". It is in very good condition with a slight curve to the board.
