Maratha Confederacy, domains of the Peshwas - silver rupee in the name of Shah Alam II, Aurangnagar (Mulher) mint, RY9, with 'Haft Kishwar' couplet legend on obverse and 'flower' and 'Shiva-linga' symbols on reverse, not listed in M&W, 11.20g.

Several Punches, Very fine, Rare.

The unusual aspect about this coin is that it has the Devanagari letter 'Mu' (stands for 'Mulher') on the obverse. In almost every other variety of Maratha coins of Mulher in the name of Shah Alam II, the letter is on the reverse.
