Cal. 54. NSN. Bbl. 8 1/2" rnd. bbl. w/ smooth bore & brass front sight. Lock forward of hammer marked "US / I. N. JOHNSON" w/ "MIDDtn / CONN" & 1858 date behind hammer. Walnut stock w/ partially visible cartouches on left ear. Fittings brass band, side plate & combination butt cap backstrap. Button tipped iron swivel ramrod. CONDITION: metal shows a gray patina w/ scattered very light patina. Stock has age darkened appearance w/ handling marks & dents having cracks in butt, forearm, lock & sideplate areas. Lightly pitted -bore. (01-17103/DS). ANTIQUE. $700-1,100.
