(Disneyland, c.2000) A hand-crafted and signed original Disneyland Tomorrowland Shadowbox personally created by mixed media artist Dave Avanzino in celebration of the 45th anniversary of Disneyland. In what would become the first model in a series of Icon Letters shadowboxes, Avanzino personally handcrafted the name of the timeless land from iconography borrowed from memorable Tomorrowland attractions like the golden sun of Mary Blair's "Spirit of Creative Energies…" murals or a snowflake from the world of Monsanto's Adventure Through Inner Space. Measuring approximately 10"x23.75 and 2" deep, the shadowbox is in very good condition retaining the artist's annotation "Dave Avanzino Disneyana Convention 2001" on the reverse.
