***Auction Highlight*** 1858-p TOP POP! Gold Liberty Double Eagle $20 Graded ms63 By SEGS. HIGHLIGHT OF THE ENTIRE AUCTION - Up for Auction is an exceedingly Rare 1858-p $20 Double Eagle. With the single exception of the 1859, the 1858 boasts the lowest mintage (211,714 pieces) of any P-mint Double Eagle from the 1850s. Equally as rare as the 1855, 1856, 1857, 1863, and 1864, the 1858 is typically encountered in grades that range from XF40 through AU58. There are only 30-35 examples in all Mint state Grades. The finest is a single ms64, The Example at hand is Tied for 2nd Finest with 4 other coins. This is a satiny piece with striations in the fields that explain the modest semi-prooflike finish. The strike is needle sharp in all areas, and there are remarkably few obverse abrasions for the assigned grade. In fact, the only mentionable distractions are a group of abrasions above the Eagle’s head on the reverse. A pleasingly colored, golden-rose representative of this conditionally challenging P-mint Twenty. I have included another ms63 for your comparison as well as an ms62. A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation
